We have an exciting opportunity for an Events and Marketing Coordinator to support the marketing department with events and marketing.
The Events & Marketing Coordinator will be reporting directly to the Marketing Manager and sits within a dynamic in-house team responsible for delivering online and offline Marketing, Communications, and Design services across the group of companies. As the Events and Marketing Coordinator you will play a key role in driving brand awareness across the group companies through the coordination of exhibition style events along with the implementation of creative marketing campaigns to suit both B2B & B2C audiences, backing these up with analytical reports and future learnings.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape how the company is represented across the electrical industry through events and marketing, identifying and leveraging opportunities to enhance the group’s reputation and continue to build on its brand identity.
Main Duties
Events
• Plan and coordinate event logistics for all trade shows, exhibitions (excluding CEFLive / Golf Days which remain the responsibility of the Marketing Manager). Tasks will involve but not be limited to.
o Communication to relevant team members working the event
o Order relevant marketing stock, i.e. literature & merchandise
o Issue any Purchase Orders that may be required
o Updating the budgets
o Coordinating with external suppliers & venues where necessary
o Communicate internally
o Updating calendars, project management system and schedules
o Sending out survey & collating feedback results
• Manage banner inventory for event support via our project management system
o Ensure banners are up-to date with the latest artwork
o Liaise with Graphic designers, when necessary, when new artwork is required
o Order banners direct with supplier as & when needed ensuring PO is provided
o Coordinate sending our event banners and returning them, when needed
Merchandise
• Take responsibility for company merchandise, tasks include but not limited to.
o Checking stock weekly & liaising with relevant departments
o Brief any artwork requirements into studio, ensuring it meets brand guidelines and is approved by the Marketing Manager, Group Marketing Manager & Head of Design
o Ensure product codes & additional data are collated
o All associated merchandise administration
o Ensure merchandise appears in a timely manner on the online ordering system, when necessary
Marketing
• Help drive the planning and implementing of marketing campaigns – help developing online and offline marketing campaigns that will suit both B2B and B2C audiences.
o Campaign idea planning & implementation
o Budget creation
• Take responsibility in planning and communicating advertising schedules alongside Marketing Manager and additional marketing bookings, as necessary
• Supporting product launch uploads in collaboration with the wider team
• Support with the day-to-day marketing stock reports
• Ensuring marketing content is always kept up to date including but not limited to.
o Website pages
o ScolmoreHub
o Marketing hub
o Third party website content
• Attend and take part in regular department meetings for both online and offline marketing plans.
• Assist with monitoring the marketing inbox
• Assist in researching & coming up with relevant topic ideas for;
o YouTube
o Podcast
o Social Media
o any additional channels where necessary
• Regularly review market and competitor analysis
• Produce monthly personal reports on your own monthly activity, campaigns including the results of these. Reporting on your own personal activity and identifying your personal development.
• Act as a brand guardian ensuring any marketing content is consistent in tone of voice, messaging and visual identity
• Undertake other tasks as reasonably directed from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the business
Essential Skills and Experience
• 3-5 years previous solid event & marketing experience in a similar role
• Excellent project and time management skills with a proven ability to be able to coordinate multiple events of different levels along with managing day-to-day marketing tasks
• Proven ability to drive and implement marketing campaigns with a creative and analytical approach
• A diverse understanding of marketing to multiple audiences, in particular B2B & B2C
• A self-motivated, proactive individual with strong attention to detail
• A well organised, reliable and hardworking individual, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Confident and able to form relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally with excellent written and communications skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Good knowledge of MS Office
Desirable Skills and Experience
• Experience in using a project management system like Monday.com
• Diverse experience across online and offline marketing
• Marketing degree or CIM qualification
